When we hosted the 2018 Diabetes Canada Professional Conference at Halifax Convention Centre, we wanted to find a special way to welcome this major event to our facility. But we also wanted to be sure we were part of the conversation and join them in their efforts to improve the lives of Canadians living with Diabetes.

We worked with the organizers of the Diabetes Reusable Good Program to have a donation bin placed outside our facility during the conference, and challenged our staff and neighbours to donate. Together with our downtown community, we donated over 300 lbs of reusable goods; proceeds from the sale of these items go towards sending children living with diabetes to camp and to ongoing diabetes research.
