Scotiabank Centre launches exciting fall season

Scotiabank Centre launches an exciting fall season with a variety of concerts, community activities and major sporting events, including the opening of the 2025-2026 Halifax Mooseheads and Halifax Thunderbirds regular seasons, and acting as primary hosts of the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials.

“We are thrilled to welcome our community back to Scotiabank Centre for an incredible event mix", said Suzanne Fougere, Executive Vice-President of Events East Group, the organization responsible for operating, maintaining and managing Scotiabank Centre. Earlier this week the QMJHL announced its 2026 Draft will be held in Halifax. “We look forward to creating an unforgettable experience as we welcome the league to our city next Spring to host this event in Nova Scotia for the first time,” added Fougere. “Nova Scotia’s reputation as a host destination for events, meetings and conventions continues to grow with significant event wins across sectors and industries,” says Fougere who shared that last year, the Halifax Convention Centre and Scotiabank Centre combined drove a $121M in economic impact for businesses in Halifax and Nova Scotia.

Scotiabank Centre hosted 600 events since 2018, generating $230M in economic impact and welcoming 2.8M fans. In 2025-26, Scotiabank Centre is targeted to host 105 events, attracting over 480,000 fans while generating direct expenditures of over $46M. The venue welcomes fans back after summertime enhancements including a new Public Address system, new interior and exterior digital signage and new concessions offerings. “These enhancements will support our ability to attract and deliver major national events including the 2025 Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials later this fall,” adds Fougere.

It is anticipated that more than 115,000 tickets will be issued for the Curling Trials, welcoming athletes, and fans from across the country as we profile Canada’s best curling teams who will be competing for the 2026 Olympic games. They will be held from November 22 to November 30, with a variety of community activities planned.
