
Dr. Courtney Sherlock is an entrepreneur, investor, and community leader based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is the Co-Founder, Primary Investor, and Chief Executive Officer of the Halifax Tides Football Club, one of the inaugural six professional women’s soccer teams in Canada’s new Northern Super League. Through her leadership, the Tides are building a benchmark organization rooted in community, opportunity, and legacy.
In addition to her work in professional sport, Dr. Sherlock owns and operates multiple veterinary hospitals, combining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with her entrepreneurial expertise to scale and support high-performing healthcare teams. Her portfolio also extends into real estate and other business ventures, reflecting a broad commitment to regional economic growth.
Dr. Sherlock is an active mentor and coach with the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Accelerator program and frequently speaks to business audiences and students on topics ranging from leadership and resilience to entrepreneurship and endurance sports. She has served in various community and advisory roles and is passionate about creating pathways for women in sport, fostering youth development, and advancing civic projects that strengthen the cultural and economic fabric of Halifax.
