The IIHF Women’s World Championship will return to Nova Scotia for the first time in 16 years, as Hockey Canada announced Tuesday that Halifax and Truro will host the 2020 tournament.

Scotiabank Centre, Atlantic Canada’s largest venue for marquee sporting and entertainment events, re-opens today following completion of the ice slab replacement project.

A 17-game pack for Halifax includes one Team Canada pre-competition game, 10 preliminary-round games, two quarter-finals, two semifinals, and the gold and bronze medal games. This package guarantees four Team Canada games and can be purchased for as low as $299, plus applicable fees.
