The Halifax Convention Centre is kicking off a busy event season with more than 120 events scheduled for 2022 with an estimated 80,000 delegates, including 26 national/international conventions.
Scotiabank Centre will re-open its doors to a diverse calendar of events beginning this Friday, February 18 with the Halifax Mooseheads vs. Saint John Sea Dogs game.
“After two long months of waiting, our players and fans are very excited to return to the Scotiabank Centre for Mooseheads hockey,” said Brian Urquhart, president of the Halifax Mooseheads.
The Halifax Thunderbirds return the following night to take on the Georgia Swarm on home turf.
As the fall events season kicks off, Scotiabank Centre will require proof of full vaccination for all event attendees effective October 1.
Alternatively, attendees who do not have proof of vaccination can provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to the event (or as dictated by individual event requirements) to gain entry.
The It’s Our Time Female Leadership Summit announced today its speaker lineup and launched table sales for the event, which is taking place as part of the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The Summit will take place May 11 and May 12, 2021, at the Halifax Convention Centre.

The National Lacrosse League (@NLL) has officially approved the start of the 2021-22 season for the weekend of December 3rd & 4th. The schedule will include 18 regular season games followed by Playoffs, and a Championship Series.

Plans for April Start Date Cancelled Amidst COVID-19 Uncertainties; Full Season Now Planned for 2021-22 Season
Halifax, NS - February 3, 2021 – The National Lacrosse League (@NLL) announced today their plans for a season this spring have been cancelled due to uncertainties arising from the ongoing Pandemic. The league, with the full support of the NLL Board of Governors, will now move to start a traditional season in the fall of this year.
